Who We Are
The mission of WASAVP is to unite prevention advocates in Washington State in order to create environments that support safe and healthy communities through prevention of substance abuse and violence.
In support of its mission, WASAVP commits to:
o Advocate on behalf of the statewide prevention community
o Encourage mobilization of communities for prevention activities and strategies
o Sustain and expand investment in prevention for local communities
o Support an inclusive continuum of prevention strategies
o Foster collaboration among prevention organizations
o Promote sustainability for prevention programs
o Encourage collaboration among funding sources
o Influence public policy to support prevention
